The founder of the Aquantum Group, Tom Morrow, has an extensive 25 year history in the systematic trading world. He designed and managed algorithmic trading models for equities, interest rates, commodities, stocks and FX at Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank, and Winton Capital Management. Over the years, Mr. Morrow has traded approximately 80 different futures markets and has gained extensive knowledge on the workings of them.

Originally from London, Tom immigrated to Australia after graduating with Joint BSc Honors in Pure and Applied Mathematics from the University of Wales in the mid-1980s.

Mr. Morrow joined Bankers Trust in the late 1980s where he initially developed technology for their new retail banking systems. In the early 1990s, he moved into the trading area and became a quantitative analyst in the bank's fixed income group, later widening that role into swaps and options within the structured derivatives group. While in these roles, Mr. Morrow developed some trading ideas, and due to his background in mathematics and technology, he was able to turn this into a systematic trading model. In 1997, he began trading and developing systems full time at Bankers Trust.

In 1999, following the acquisition of Bankers Trust by Deutsche Bank, Mr. Morrow became a vice president of proprietary trading for foreign exchange. He successfully continued trading and developing systems across a variety of asset classes.

Mr. Morrow moved back to the UK in 2007 to become a Senior Scientist at Winton Capital Management, one of the world's premier systematic trading funds.

In 2008, he founded the Aquantum Group.

Mr. Morrow is the director of Oxford, UK-based Aquantum Research Ltd. and the managing director of Luxembourg-based Aquantum S.à r.l.

Mr. Morrow is a partner of Aquantum and a member of Aquantum's Management Board.

Carina Reith joined Aquantum in September 2012 and works in the research & trading department. She is responsible for the portfolio management of Aquantum’s investment programs and supports the team in research projects. Together with Christian Schneider and Thomas Morrow she manages Aquantum‘s client relations and marketing activities.

Between 2006 and 2009, Ms. Reith studied Business Administration at the University of Heidenheim in cooperation with Wacker Chemie AG in Munich. In 2013, she graduated with a master's degree in Finance & Information Management from the Technische Universität München and the University of Augsburg.

Ms. Reith has professional experience in many arms of the asset management business, including trading, finance, controlling, data analysis, sales and project management.

Max Noller works in Aquantum's research & trading department. He joined Aquantum in 2015 and focuses on portfolio management and research as well as being responsible for the development and administration of Aquantum’s internal software and database.

Mr. Noller’s initial focus was on the automation of Aquantum’s operational processes, while increasing Aquantum’s operational efficiency. He has since moved onto other longer term research projects such as developing software to identify further seasonality factors in commodity markets.

Between 2009 and 2015 Mr. Noller studied at the University of Ulm and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, graduating with a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and Management, majoring in Financial Mathematics and Numerical Computation.

Mr. Schneider graduated from the University of Munich, where he studied Law, and started his career as a lawyer before joining HVB Group in 2000.

Mr. Willner has more than 13 years of institutional investment experience in the hedge fund industry. He started his career more than 20 years ago as an operations and risk manager.

In a previous role, Mr. Willner founded the alternative investment department of a large insurance company in Munich and became responsible for Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and High Yield investments. In 2005, Mr. Willner joined UniCredit (former HVB) where he invested proprietary money into Single Hedge Funds.

Since early 2012, Mr. Willner is responsible for Alternative Investments at Siemens Financial Services GmbH, the manager of the Siemens pension scheme. In a previous role, Mr. Willner was a member of the board of a Managed Futures Fund.

Mr. Willner studied business administration at FH Augsburg and European Business Studies at the University of Ulster in Belfast.

Susanne Schneider-Kupka is an attorney and qualified tax lawyer.

Mrs. Schneider-Kupka graduated from Ludwigs-Maximilians-University in Munich, where she studied Law and started her career as an international tax lawyer for KPMG. Since 2002, Mrs. Schneider-Kupka works as an independent attorney-at-law, primarily in financial and taxation matters. She specializes in legal and tax advisory for asset managing companies, start-up consulting, and corporate transformation processes in the financial and manufacturing sector. Her main focus lies on the development of tax strategies, accounting issues and on the tax treatment of securities and other financial products.

Andre Scheerer has gained extensive work experience since 1998 as a legal advisor and attorney in the areas of banking and capital markets law, compliance, finance transactions and securitization, financial derivatives and structured investment products. During his time from 1998 to 2001 as associate with international law firms of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in Frankfurt and Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in their New York offices, Mr. Scheerer has advised leading international investment banks and financial firms.

From 2001 to 2002 Mr. Scheerer worked as in-house legal counsel with WestLB, New York branch, and from 2002 to 2008 as in-house legal counsel with HypoVereinsbank/UniCredit in the bank´s London branch and the Munich headquarters, where he was responsible for the support of the internal business units in the legal structuring and documentation of financial transactions and advised in bank supervisory and compliance matters.

From 2008 to 2012, Mr. Scheerer served in his capacity as general counsel and group head of legal for Qatari bank Al Khalij Commercial Bank Q.S.C. in Doha, Qatar, where he was member of the senior management team. From 2013 until 2015, Mr. Scheerer acted as of counsel for Qatari law firm of Al Ansari & Associates, Doha, and as senior in-house counsel for Emirates NBD Bank PJSC in Dubai, where he was responsible for the implementation and organization of a transactional legal department.

Since the beginning of 2016, Mr. Scheerer practices banking and financial law with the reputable Munich based law firm Kollmar, Deby & Sinz and advises both investors and financial institutions.

Mr. Scheerer studied law at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and at Fordham University School of Law in New York where he gained a master of laws degree (LL.M.) in Banking, Corporate & Finance laws.

In October 2017, Andre Scheerer was appointed to the advisory board of Aquantum GmbH.

Jack Schwager is a recognised industry expert in futures and hedge funds, and is the author of the Market Wizards books which are considered financial classics.

These books have been sold well over a million copies worldwide and been translated in more than a dozen languages. He is also the author of Schwager on Futures, a 1800 page three-volume set which is considered as one of the authoritative analytical works in the field.

Currently, he is a principal of PortfolioFit, an advisory firm that is specialised in constructing tailor-made futures and FX managed account portfolios for clients. Additionaly, he is the co-portfolio manager for the ADM Investor Services Diversified Strategies Fund, a portfolio of futures and FX managed accounts.

Previously, Mr. Schwager was a partner in the Fortune Group, a London-based hedge fund advisory firm. His previous experience also includes 22 years as the Director of Futures research for some of Wall Street's leading firms.

He  is a frequent seminar speaker and has lectured on a range of analytical topics including the characteristics of great traders, investment fallacies, hedge fund portfolios, managed accounts, technical analysis, and trading systems evaluation.

Mr. Schwager holds a BA in Economics from Brooklyn College (1970) and a MA in Economics from Brown University (1971).

Perry J. Kaufman has more than thirty-five years of experience in financial engineering and asset management, developing systematic trading strategies for the global equity and futures markets. Beginning as a "rocket scientist" in the aerospace industry, where he worked on the navigation and control systems for Project Gemini, the NASA program which had the goal of landing men on the Moon.

Mr. Kaufman started his own business in 1971, focusing on the development and management of quantitative trading systems. His company was acquired by a large Illinois-based farm management company in 1975, whereupon Mr. Kaufman became responsible for the hedging of agricultural price risks as one of the company's partners.

Between 1978 and 1980, Mr. Kaufman worked for Prudential-Bache in New York City, where he was in charge of developing and running a commodity investment program.

Mr. Kaufman relocated to Bermuda in 1980 to become the Head of Systematic Trading at Transworld Oil, Ltd. He left the company in 1992.

From 1992 through 1998, Mr. Kaufman was a principal and Head of Research for Drapeau Advisors, a US-based CTA focused on short-term trading. The company was sold to ED&F Man in 1998 to become Man-Drapeau Research, Pte. (Singapore).

Subsequently, Mr., Kaufman worked as a consultant for major Wall Street firms and hedge funds (e.g., Graham Capital Management). Today he advises Mizuho Alternative Investments and collaborates with Aquantum.

He is the author of Trading Systems and Methods, 5th edition (Wiley, 2013), first published in 1978, a book that has been called "remarkably insightful," "the most authoritative and comprehensive work" in the industry; it puts the process of research and development into a "cohesive framework." In 2003 he published A Short Course in Technical Trading, based on a graduate finance course that he taught at Baruch College. His latest book, Alpha Trading, focuses on market neutral strategies and was released in February 2011.

Mr. Kaufman was the first Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Vermont Securities Institute. He has always been active in broadening the understanding of the free market system, serving on the Director's Committee of Columbia University's Center for the Study of Futures Markets, founding the Journal of Futures Markets and creating Wiley's Traders Advantage series.

Mr. Kaufman holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin and a MBA from the New York Institute of Technology.

Daniel Bain is the Managing Director of Aquantum LLC and a member of the board at Aquantum S.à r.l.

Before joining Aquantum in 2009, Mr. Bain was a partner at Bain Partners, an investment and consulting firm based in New York City.

From 1996 through 2006, Mr. Bain was CEO, Chairman of the Board, and co-founder of Galvex, a 500,000 tons per year steel manufacturing facility in Estonia. Prior to that, he was CEO of Applied Phase Transition, Inc., a high technology company based in Santa Monica, California.

In earlier roles, Mr. Bain worked as a financial analyst for several firms in the hedge fund and fund-of-funds sector in Los Angeles, including Dabney Resnick/Merriman Capital Management and Paine Webber. While in law school, Mr. Bain worked as an intern at the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission.

Mr. Bain is an attorney and member of the California Bar since 1995. He earned a law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and a B.S. Business Administration, with an emphasis in finance, from U.C. Berkeley's Haas School of Business. Mr. Bain also studied Russian language between 1991 and 1992 at St. Petersburg University, Russia.

He received the Corporate Statesmanship Award of the US-Baltic Foundation in March 2005.
